Your first step is to book a free consult, either in person or over the phone. We’ll talk through your fitness background, goals, and any injuries, then walk you through how the gym works, what membership includes, and what a typical class feels like. You’ll tour the space, meet a coach, and get clear next steps. From there, we’ll set you up with our onboarding sessions to make sure you feel confident moving forward.
Your journey starts with 1-on-1 sessions with a coach. You’ll learn the foundational movements, get personal attention on your technique, and build a solid understanding of how to approach the workouts safely and effectively. This process helps us get to know your abilities and ensures you’re set up for long-term success, regardless of your experience level.
If you’re consistent, you’ll start feeling and seeing changes within your first few weeks. Often as soon as 30 days. You’ll notice more energy, improved movement, and a growing confidence in what your body can do. We recommend attending 4–5 classes per week, or pairing fewer gym days with extra movement like our Fortem Ruck Club to help you adapt to the training.
Absolutely. We offer tiered nutrition coaching options to meet you where you are. Whether you’re looking for a custom plan to follow on your own, weekly accountability, or hands-on daily support from a coach, we’re here to support you on your journey. We also coach you on the key recovery habits (sleep, hydration, stress management, and more) that help you feel and perform your best in and out of the gym.
Not at all. CrossFit is infinitely scalable. This means the intensity and movements can be adjusted for any fitness level, injury, or limitation. We’ll meet you where you’re at, coach you through every class, and help you build strength and skill safely.
At Fortem, you’re not just another member. You’re part of a community. We know your name, celebrate your wins, and walk with you through every challenge. Every class is led by experienced coaches, and every workout is designed to make you feel better in your body and more confident in your life.
For most people, 4–5 classes per week is the sweet spot. Starting with 3-4 can help you adapt, and then you can ramp up as your fitness builds. We also offer optional programming add-ons like the Fortem Ruck Club to help supplement movement and build connection.
Our program is based on the CrossFit methodology: constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. Some days focus on strength, others on conditioning, and many combine elements of both. We train to be ready for anything and every workout can be modified to meet you where you are.
Classes are 60 minutes and fully coach-led. You’ll start with a warm-up, review the workout and movements for the day, and get coached on form and strategy. We finish with a cooldown and recovery tips. You’ll always know what to do, how to do it, and why it matters.
You can still train. Our coaches are trained to modify movements to work around injuries or restrictions. Whether you’re rehabbing, prehab-ing, or just being cautious, we’ll help you stay safe and keep making progress.
CrossFit done right is safe and effective. Like any sport, risk comes from poor coaching or ego-driven training. At Fortem, we prioritize technique, consistency, then intensity, so you’re always building on a solid foundation.
Intensity is relative. What’s intense for one person might be a warm-up for another. That’s why we scale every workout to your current ability. You’ll be challenged, but always within your own safe limits.
