Crawling Toward Consistency
by Coach Josh

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about consistency. What it really looks like, and how it shapes not just our fitness, but the way we live our lives.
Every day, we’re crawling toward something. In the gym, that might look like chasing a first pull-up, building up to a heavy back squat, or just wanting to feel strong and capable again. Some of us are chasing better health markers: lower blood pressure, improved blood panels, more energy, better sleep. Maybe we just want to look in the mirror and feel like ourselves again.
But most days, it doesn’t feel like we’re sprinting toward progress. It feels like we are crawling. It feels slow, gritty, and sometimes frustrating.
Showing up isn’t easy. Choosing to move your body when you’re tired, to eat the meal that fuels you instead of the one that comforts you, to stretch when you’d rather sit. It all takes effort. It takes intention. But that’s where real change happens. The daily decisions to keep going, even when you don’t feel like it, are what build the discipline and resilience that start to spill into every other part of your life.
The consistency you build in the gym doesn’t stay there. It shows up in how you handle stress. It shows up in how you lead your family. It shows up in how you approach challenges that have nothing to do with barbells or pull-ups. Training your body trains your mind and your spirit too.
And the best part? You don’t have to crawl alone.
There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who get it. These people are fighting the same battles, showing up tired, and still choosing the hard thing. There’s encouragement in just seeing someone else keep going.
So if you’ve been crawling all week.. if you’re sore, tired, or wondering if it’s worth it. KEEP GOING. Every small step forward matters more than you think.
One day, you’ll look back and realize how far all that crawling has taken you.
Keep crawling toward consistency. We will be right alongside you every step of the way!
